My name is Jeremiah Mapes and I am 27 years old. I currently reside in Saint Petersburg, Fl although if your actually reading this I could be anywhere between Georgia and Maine. I am an adventure seeker at heart and I just about dabble in everything there is to do outdoors. I live for the outdoors.

So my latest adventure is to thru hike the Appalachian Trail. I think if you asked anyone that knows me if they could see me taking on such an endeavor and their response would probably be, “Oh, heck yes.” The plan is to set off in March of 2011 from Springer mountain in Georgia. After about 5 months and 2,200 miles later I will be in Maine. This is my story and this is my blog. Check back often and enjoy the ride.
